In 2019, 969 percent of Malay-Muslims surveyed in Malaysia stated that they typically visited 24 hour bistros or mamak stalls with their friends when they broke their fast out of home during Ramadan of 2019. During the month of Ramadan, observant Muslims abstain from food, drink, and sexual activities from sun rise to sun set.
